South Sydney Uniting Church is a Uniting Church with a strong social and ecological justice orientation and commitment to the local community of Waterloo and Redfern. We are a vibrant and growing church with many expressions of ministry, and the next five years is a time of great change, disruption and opportunity in our local area.
We are seeking a part-time worker to provide administrative support to our ministries and to assist the Church Council and Minister to meet the church’s legal and financial responsibilities. Responsibilities of the role include office administration, administrative support for the Church Council and ministry working groups, management of facilities bookings, basic accounting tasks, and assistance with annual reporting.
The position is two days a week and reports to the Chairperson of the Church Council. Attractive remuneration will be provided. Applicants must be in a position to demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and a preparedness to work within the polity and ethos of the Uniting Church in Australia as described in the Basis of Union.
