The following Collects were written by participants in our monthly Liturgy Resource group.

Collect for Easter 7 (Ascension) by Miriam Pepper

Readings: Psalm 93; Ephesians 1: 15-23; Luke 24: 44-53

God of hope,
you raise up the downtrodden,
to desolation you bring life.
Give us wisdom to see
potential in brokenness,
and majesty in the humble,
that all may become whole.
In the name of Jesus,
the servant who is above all.
Amen.

Collect for Pentecost by Cathie Harrison

Readings: Acts 2: 1-21; Psalm 104: 24-34, 35b; John 15: 26-27, 16: 4b-15

God of all that is,
you celebrate the richness and diversity of life,
and bind us together as one with your love.
Inspire us anew
to see your breath in all people,
to tend the life in all living creatures
in field and forest, bush and sea,
so that all the world
may rejoice in your goodness.
In the name of Jesus,
teacher, comforter and friend.
Amen.
