Art workshops return to hall (and online)
Saturday, February 12 saw art workshops return to the church hall for the first time in a long time – since the start of lockdowns in 2020.
Carolyne May was the teacher via Zoom from her home. The organised lesson involved developing artworks inspired by shapes.
Eight participants gathered around the big table in the hall, including one artist joining the group for the first time.
Adrian Spry was inspired to make a pastel drawing of flamingos, which now features on the Community page of our website.
Adrian said, “I was in the mood to create with colour. Flamingos are wonderful, exotic birds – vibrant and intelligent.”
Art workshops will continue on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, from 12-4pm. Materials provided. Entry by gold coin donation.
Next workshop: Saturday, February 26. Carolyne May will lead the workshop. The lesson will continue the themes of shape and inspiration, using different watercolour techniques.
