Prayer for Mother’s Day

Prayer by Chris Lodge, May 8, 2022.

We offer prayers of thanks and love for our mothers,
for all in whom we know encouragement,
motherly care and wisdom.

We acknowledge the grief of mothers,
the responsibility of motherhood,
the desire of those who long to be mothers.

We acknowledge the pain of children who miss their mums,
as well as those who have not known a mother’s love.

We pray, with Chris, who says of his Mum:

She’s a fighter.
She’s patient.
She’s generous.
She has a lot of knowledge about medicine.
She has a lot of knowledge about gardening.
She’s a teacher.
She’s very positive.
Love is the best.
Amen.
