‘Grateful for Grace’

We didn’t make the spark of life in us, and
We didn’t make the air that we breath
We didn’t make the flowers or fungus, and
We didn’t make the ground underneath, So  

We give thanks for the world that we live on, and
We give thanks for the whole human race, and
We give thanks for all that we’re given, and
We are grateful for grace        

We didn’t make the mouths that we drink with, and
We didn’t make the clouds that give rain
We didn’t make the brains that we think with, and
We didn’t make the sun shine again, so  

We give thanks for life in abundance, the
Circle of life, the stars up above
We love the way the moon and the sun dance, in a
Universe made with love

We didn’t make the cuteness of kittens, the
Glory of sunset, the sea or the shore, the
Heart that will melt when with love we are smitten, the
Stories that were old before we were born, so

We give thanks for the world that we live on, and
We give thanks for the whole human race, and
We give thanks for all that we’re given, and
We are grateful for grace
